Well, it's been awhile since I posted a painting...actually, it's been awhile since I painted! We've had a stressful few weeks around our place, so I thought I'd relax by working on some paintings. I resolve to be painting regularly from here on out!! These are two children from a session I did early this summer and I've been meaning to paint this ever since...enjoy!
I really love the barns in this part of the country. This broken down one was a half mile from our workshop site. Thanks John for sharing your knowledge and Dustine for hosting! Day 2 of the John Derry seminar and he took some of the training wheels off today. What a fun program, I'm having a great time! Took this image last evening in the Tennessee countryside and here it is as today's painting:
Hey everyone! Hello from Springfield, TN where I'm attending a digital painting workshop this week given by one of the original authors of Corel Painter, John Derry. I've already learned a lot and am having so much fun with this program. We learned real REAL basic stuff today so my work is definitely "in progress" but here's a sample of a photograph of a statue translated into a painting. More and better later!
I'm on my way in a few weeks to learn a computer painting program that's new to me and I'm getting really excited about the possibilities. I've been playing around with it tonight and here's my first shot at feeling my way around it. One of the hotels we stayed at last week was themed after a South Pacific island...this was one of the pieces of art on one of the outdoor walls.
